ABOUT US

West Broward High school surf club was started towards the end of the school year of 2011-2012 in attempt to make surfing more known to the students. The next year we started again and we had a successful group of people. Some of who had never surfed before, and some who have surfed for a while. Now we surf every month, paddle board once a while, take part in local surf and beach related events and many more activities. We meet every week on Wednesdays to inform our members about events and to talk about our oceans.

We are currently working together with Island Water Sports. They have been more than amazing with helping us with surf lessons, surf activities, and helping us fundraise for our end of year goal. Our goal is to go abroad on a surf trip/mission. We want to further broaden the surf experience of our members and also volunteer locally in the country we end up going to. Therefore throughout the year we fundraise to go there. Please refer to our DONATE section to see what you can do and where your money will go.
